Smiley is a 4.6-m (15 foot) radio telescope used as part of an Internet Classroom in the PARI School of Galactic Radio Astronomy. When you see the telescope pointing to a new position, a high school student or class is remotely controlling the telescope from their classroom. Summer workshops are given to teachers who want to use the telescope. |
