Public outreach includes pariticpating in radio show interviews, TV spots, and newspaper articles promoting the field of astronomy.  Often these spots concentrate on the planets and moon in the current night sky. Also, I’ve given a number of public lectures and seminars.

I’ve also worked with my colleagues at PARI to develop an online weather station, and online webcams.  I did the software side, while the PARI engineers put together the hardware.

Public Outreach will be expanding in the Summer 2002 to include a new Solar/Lunar Telescope broadcasting live Sun and Moon images on the PARI website 24 hours a day.  This is partially supported by a grant from the American Astronomical Society.
