I did most of my graduate work, near-IR polarization of infrared reflection nebulae, using the Wyoming Infrared Observatory shown above.  The WIRO 2.3-m telescope, shown on the left above, is located on Jelm Mountain, WY. The telescope is perhaps the most enjoyable and easy-to-use  telescope I have ever worked with.  Maybe this is because I became very familiar with it after spending a large fraction of my life at the observatory! There is nothing quite like graduate school.
